Great to meet you!

I identify as queer and neurodivergent. While I have fancy titles and education, I like to connect on the human level. I help clients make fast progress by targeting parts of the brain that store trauma and old feelings. I love to use humor and metaphors to help make the process more comfortable.

My approach to therapy

My work is especially effective for queer (LGBTQ+) and neurodivergent people, including ADHD and autism. My ideal client may have tried talk therapy before but found it not to be helpful and is ready to try something new. My approach to counseling combines the individual's needs with awareness of larger systems that we exist in. I use a matter-of-fact, down-to-earth and sometimes humorous approach to talking about difficult things.

What you can expect from me

I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to help bring our bodies & minds back into alignment during times of stress or after trauma. While traditional therapy asks "why do I have depression?" for example, EMDR and IFS work to address the root of the symptoms so you can move forward. I believe everyone has a light in us that is untouched by trauma and adverse experiences, and my goal is to get you in touch with your own light again.
