Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist (CST), also holding a PhD in Clinical Sexology. My primary areas of focus include relationship and sex therapy, self-esteem and body image, mind-body exploration, somatic therapies, and mindfulness. My doctoral research focused specifically on exploring the experiences of self-silencing, sexual self-esteem, and body image among women in relationships.

If you're interested in being added to my waitlist or are a returning client from the past, please feel invited to reach out over email at [email protected]

My approach to therapy

I lean into a more holistic and eclectic clinical approach, with my work primarily infusing elements of narrative therapy, mindfulness / mindful-CBT, somatic / mind-body therapies, relationship and sex therapy. Based on your expressed goals & how sessions develop, your treatment can become more eclectic & customized to you. I generally see great therapeutic efficacy through blending the realms of various talk therapies, mindfulness meditation, & somatic therapies / body work.

I also believe that one of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to resonate with a broad and diverse range of clients regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. I welcome those from all backgrounds and walks of life, and frequently connect with clients originating from a diversity of cultures; in particular, those with a history of self- or familial- experiences involving immigration. I see a great deal of strength in my ability to learn each client's unique language of self-expression; truly getting to know their story and understanding who they are through their own definitions and the lived experiences they share with me.

Areas of specialization within my practice include relationships, sexuality & intimacy, gender, self-esteem, body image, self-silencing, attachment style, spirituality and somatic experiencing.

What you can expect from me

As a clinician, I feel it's paramount to nurture a space that my clients find to be not only safe & supportive, but energizing & transformative. There are many intentions fit to be explored in the therapeutic realm, and collaborating with you to personalize those intentions will be key. I encourage you to reflect on any current goals you may have for entering this space, and to keep in mind that it can be an ongoing and evolving conversation in our work together. Sometimes support is needed a bit more than direction; sometimes it's building skills, enriching ideas through education, or simply finding stillness & grounding in our bodies. A typical treatment plan is tailored to you, and designed to be an ongoing discussion between us that is able to adapt and evolve based on your growth, and any relevant shifts that develop in your life circumstances or reality.

Finally, I am most invested in serving clients who are eager to work on themselves with intentionality, an open heart & mind, and honest self-examination. Especially those who readily commit to their goals in active ways both in & outside of counseling. Recognizing how essential your own personal efforts and accountability will be within this process, deeply influences the quality of your treatment experience, progress & outcomes.
