Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed mental health therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, and other life challenges. My work is rooted in deep compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to understanding each client’s unique story and inner world.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in Seattle in 2016. Prior to that, I graduated with High Honors in Religious Studies from Grace College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My academic background also includes specialized continuing education in Western philosophy and epistemology, which deeply informs my therapeutic approach. These include:

  • Epistemology Part I & II – Calvin College, 2001–2002
  • Certificate in Western Philosophy – University of London (Sheffield campus), 2011–2012

Over the years, I’ve developed a practice that blends evidence-based modalities with a deep respect for existential, spiritual, and philosophical dimensions of healing. I specialize in working with adults facing anxiety, complex trauma, depression, and major life transitions. Clients often come to me when they’re searching for meaning, stuck in painful patterns, or seeking a more authentic way of living. I believe healing occurs in a space where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. My style is relational, insight-oriented, and curious. Together we’ll explore patterns, process emotional pain, and build a deeper connection with your values and inner strengths.

Whether you are new to therapy or returning after time away, I aim to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where we can explore what matters most to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and grounded in both evidence-based methods and depth-oriented traditions. I specialize in work that integrates the psychological, philosophical, and spiritual aspects of healing. My work with clients involves piecing together the patterns that make up their lives with understanding and optimism.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is a collaborative, respectful, and deeply human process. I offer a calm, reflective environment where you’re encouraged to slow down, speak honestly, and listen inwardly. This is a space where your experiences — both past and present — can be explored without judgment, and where your unique inner life is treated with care and curiosity.

Clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of their next steps. In our work together, you can expect to gain greater clarity around difficult emotions, patterns, and internal conflicts. Through evidence-based tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we’ll develop practical strategies for navigating anxiety, depression, and stress. At the same time, we’ll explore the deeper layers of meaning, identity, and purpose that often lie beneath distress.

Much of the healing work we do will involve understanding and integrating past experiences — including trauma, grief, or early life wounds — and learning how they may still be shaping the present. As we explore these experiences, you’ll begin to build greater self-compassion, reconnect with your core values, and develop a stronger sense of inner agency and trust in yourself.

I view therapy not as a quick fix, but as a meaningful relationship where change unfolds through honesty, presence, and deep listening. My role is not to impose answers, but to walk beside you — helping you uncover your own wisdom, clarify what matters most, and support you in building a life that feels more grounded, connected, and authentic.
