Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ericka Foster, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Play Therapist, and Qualified Supervisor. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and adoption-related concerns. My approach is relational, compassionate, and integrative, drawing from person-centered, Adlerian, Gestalt, expressive arts, and sand tray therapies. I believe healing happens within the context of a safe and authentic therapeutic relationship, where clients can explore their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and move toward meaningful change. I offer services in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. My approach is relational, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I draw from person-centered, Adlerian, Gestalt, expressive arts, sand tray, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients explore emotions, understand patterns, heal from past experiences, and reconnect with their strengths. I work with children, teens, and adults facing anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, adoption-related concerns, and issues related to identity and self-worth. My goal is to create a safe space where meaningful growth, insight, and healing can occur.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust and safety. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and identify any challenges, strengths, or concerns that are important to you. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. Rather than rushing to “fix” things, I focus on understanding your unique experiences and creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we’ll begin identifying meaningful goals and a path forward that feels supportive and aligned with your needs.
