Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I obtained a MSEd from Duquesne University, with a concentration in School Counseling. My mental health career started after graduating from Allegheny College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I went on to work in a group home with young adults, as a crisis technician at a 24/7 walk-in center, and as a mental health service coordinator for children and adolescents. In addition to my private practice counseling work, I have experience as a school counselor working with both elementary and middle school-aged students.

My approach to therapy

The foundation of my practice is based on building a strong client-therapist relationship. I pull from several types of treatment modalities, utilizing a basis of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while supplementing my practice with aspects of Reality Therapy and Positive Psychology. I believe one of the most important aspects of my job as a counselor is to offer direct support to my clients with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, familial or social issues, and stress management.

What you can expect from me

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional ups and downs, stress, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others, seeking support can feel overwhelming – but please know you do not have to navigate these things on your own. I feel it is important to collaborate with my clients to identify their strengths, perceived barriers, and to set goals/interventions to work towards their desired results. I am hopeful that with support, my clients can work toward enhanced well-being and perceived life functioning.
