Great to meet you!

As a special needs dad, a former Spanish teacher, former school counselor (MEdSC), and nurse (MSN), I bring a broad range of experiences to my clients. As a nurse, I have worked PACU, ER, and geriatrics. My goal is to work with the client to reach their goals through the use of counseling, supplements, and medication as needed. I enjoy using belief systems as part of my counseling if desired.

Like many providers, I have worked with many clients with depression, mania, and anxiety. As a previous teacher/school counselor, I understand the impact of ADHD on the student, the classroom, the teacher, and the family.

I think it is important for prospective clients to know that I want to help both now and in the future. For this reason, there are drugs that I don't prescribe (stimulants and benzos) because of the long-lasting side effects.

My hobbies include playing the piano, singing, gardening and family.

My approach to therapy

I want to understand what is happening in my client's life and how it is affecting them. Based on this information, we can determine what is the best way to help and work together--whether counseling, activities, medications, supplements, or a combination of the above.

What you can expect from me

When meeting for the first time, we will talk about what is going on; but we will also review your past. It may be helpful draw labs to determine if there is a medical cause. I find that sleep often is affecting my clients. With more information, we understand the whole picture better and make the best plan.
