Frankie L McLaurin is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 10 years of combined experience in behavioral health. He completed his Master of Social Work degree at New York University (NYU) followed by a career in psychotherapy. Frankie’s passion for mental health and serving marginalized communities throughout New York City has led him to earn his Master of Nursing degree most recently at Yale School of Nursing where he studied psychiatric-mental health across the lifespan.

My approach to therapy

Frankie provides both medication management and psychotherapy to treat a variety of psychiatric issues including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), relationship challenges, and work-related stress. He prefers to take a psychodynamic approach in his sessions to empower client’s to identity solutions that best meets their needs.

What you can expect from me

Clients will receive a level of psychoeducation about the dynamics of their mental health diagnosis and treatment plan to feel empowered to manage their daily challenges.
