Great to meet you!

I'm Gina, a licensed Bilingual Queer Dominican-York counselor whose therapeutic work lies in supporting a diverse population of adults in building greater awareness and capacity to live with greater intention and lessen their suffering.

I’ve supported first-generation, queer, polyamorous, & immigrant adults in navigating addictive behaviors, traumatic experiences, attachment injury, and grief—experiences that can disrupt one’s ability to engage with life & relationships more fully.

My approach to therapy

My approach is relational, deep, and kind. A fine balance between taking many looks within (I have a strong background in meditation and Buddhist Psychology) and then guiding you to what you might do with that information.

Ultimately, returning home to your goals and what matters to you most.

I believe therapy is a beautiful marriage between art and science. The science helps us understand what actually works in addressing experiences such as grief, loss, and attachment wounds. The art comes alive in how that is facilitated uniquely for each person, given whether through CBT, guided visualization, or storytelling.

What you can expect from me

I believe a first session should include both relationship-building and clarity about what you can expect and what this therapeutic process looks like. It is an opportunity for me to learn what matters most to you, understand your desires, and explore how this therapeutic journey can best support your vision, values, and goals.
