Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Hanna, a licensed professional counselor who knows that healing begins with being heard. I graduated Monmouth University with my Masters of Science in mental health counseling in 2016. I've practiced therapy as an associate counselor, helping hundreds of clients in the outpatient setting, until I obtained my professional license at the start of 2023. I began my private practice in the summer of 2025! I have found my niche in helping clients recover from depression and trauma. I have also studied and worked extensively with spirituality, and grief related to loss of all kinds.

My approach to therapy

I believe in the resilience of the human spirit, and I use this belief to guide my work with clients who are struggling or are making the conscious choice to evolve. Typically, I begin with the foundation of a client's life, and carefully work to identify stories, beliefs, behaviors, and ways of relating to Self and others that are no longer working, while also reinforcing the parts that are. This is a deeply personal experience and there is no one size fits all. Each and every session is different, but you can trust that I will always meet you wherever you are at, emotionally and mentally. Over time, we will deconstruct life where it's needed, so that we can build a future that feels better for your mental health and soul.

What you can expect from me

As a whole, it can be difficult to recognize personal growth on this journey of life, but I can help you see it during our time in therapy together. To begin, we will obtain a baseline during our intake session where we explore your history, current symptoms, and begin to identify what you are hoping to get out of therapy. As we progress and I gain a deeper understanding of you and your unique story, we will craft your individualized treatment plan typically within the first three sessions, where we will set measurable and obtainable goals. Throughout the process I will be there to hold space and bear witness as you shed your old self, all while providing psychoeducational insight into what is happening in and around you. I will support, encourage, and challenge you as you put in the hard work in between your counseling sessions. In the end, we will be able to reflect and recognize all of the changes you've made (both big and small, easy and painful) that will lead you into your new way of being.
