Great to meet you!

Ihave been in the mental health field for over 20 years and have had the privilege of working across multiple states with diverse populations, age ranges, and cultural backgrounds. My professional journey has allowed me to serve children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of clinical settings. This breadth of experience has shaped my flexible and culturally responsive approach to care.

While I take the work seriously, I also believe humor, relatable metaphors, and creative problem-solving can make difficult conversations feel more approachable. I offer practical tools and a range of options so you can find what genuinely works for you.

My education and professional training have provided a strong clinical foundation, and I continue to grow and adapt as the field evolves. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relational challenges, and I tailor my approach to meet each person’s unique needs and strengths.

My approach to therapy

My approach is solution-focused and grounded in the belief that our thoughts are closely tied to our emotions, which in turn influence our behaviors. When we learn to identify and shift unhelpful thinking patterns, we often see meaningful changes in how we feel and act. I integrate evidence-based strategies that help clients build awareness, develop coping skills, and create realistic, achievable goals.

I believe therapy should be both reflective and practical. There are many tools available that can be incorporated into daily life to support growth and lasting change. Together, we will identify strategies that align with your goals and lifestyle so that progress continues beyond the therapy session.

What you can expect from me

The first session typically begins with a comprehensive assessment. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your history, current challenges, strengths, and goals. This is a time for me to listen carefully and begin formulating ideas about how we might work together effectively.

We will also spend time building rapport so that you feel comfortable and understood. By the end of the session, we will begin outlining a plan for moving forward, identifying priorities and discussing what the work ahead may look like. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path forward.
