Great to meet you!

My name is Heather Salyers and I have been a licensed LCSW for the past 3.5 years. I have been working in the mental health field since 2011 and have a great respect for patients and individuality. I am open minded and offer empathy and compassion with each client while challenging you to become the best version of yourself. I work with children, adolescents and adults. My primary area of practice is working with children and adolescents to help them navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD and trauma. I am certified in TFCBT.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy combines open communication and honest feedback. I use CBT skills and motivational interviewing to provide you with tools and skills to overcome a variety of issues and provide you with feelings of compassion and understanding.

What you can expect from me

In our first session client's can expect to complete a psychosocial assessment with information on their background and current mental health status. We will discuss previous treatment and current mental health treatment and goals. I like to use the first session to get to know my client's and answer any questions they may have.
