Heidi Tolnai

I received my Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling from Doane College in Lincoln, Nebraska. I currently have a private practice in Liberty, Missouri called Red Door Counseling on the Square. I reside in Kansas City with my husband, two kids and my rescue lab, Rex.

My specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, grief, family of origin/relationship concerns and women’s issues/work/life balance. I also specialize in working with therapists seeking therapy.

I welcome all genders and identities, proudly offering inclusive services for the LGBTQIA+ community. My services are culturally inclusive and trauma sensitive, as well as being a strong ally in the LGBTQIA+ community.

I welcome clients ages 15 and above.

I strongly believe in the inner strength and wisdom that resides inside clients. My clinical approach is holistic, collaborative and heart-centered. I work with clients to create a safe and compassionate space that is optimal for healing and personal growth.

As a seasoned therapist with over 25 years of experience in the field, I remain honored and grateful to open my office to those ready for change and healing.
