Heidi Velazquez

Welcome and congratulations on your decision to take care of you. My name is Heidi and have been helping people on their journeys for 11 years in New Jersey. I started out working with children in New York state in 2000 who found themselves in a difficult spot in the system. And with families that needed help rebuilding their families and themselves. In New Jersey I have been working with youth and teens and their families who are out of their homes for a variety of issues from family, (divorce, adoption, grief, behavior issues, abuse to legal issues by their own choices). Also working with families and others involved to help them get to where they truly want to be which is safe, loved, validated and healthy. We have all been there with issues that we struggled with and want to do something better. Let me Know how I can help.

I graduated in 2014 From Walden University with a Master in Mental health Counseling. I have been licensed in New Jersey since then, as well. I have enjoyed working with a variety of people and am honored to help people be well.

Meeting you where you are is my approach in therapy. There is not a one size fits all to therapy. We need to be a right fit. Each person is an individual and therefore your treatment is what is important. I use a variety of techniques for each person and work with you to develop a plan to get you on the road.

I would like to think that you would feel safe and heard after we meet. My goal is to get you where you want to be.
