Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Honey, I moved to the US from Britain in my late 20's in 2004. I enjoy supporting teens and adults navigating life’s hardest seasons. With over 25 years of social work experience spanning the UK and the United States, it is a privilege to help you create a secure, empowering foundation for healing and growth.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential, my background in school social work gives me a unique understanding of the demands, pressures, and culture of working in education. If you are a teacher, school staff member, or administrator running on empty, you will not have to explain what it is like—I understand the emotional toll of working in education.

I also specialize in supporting teens navigating academic anxiety, peer relationships, social stress, identity development, and the challenges of growing up. Additionally, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, betrayal trauma, divorce, separation, and major life transitions. Together, we will build on your strengths, restore balance, and create a path toward greater clarity, confidence, and peace.

My approach to therapy

I believe that genuine emotional growth flourishes when we balance evidence-based practices with a deeply authentic human connection. I often integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my practice, looking at how your thoughts influence your emotions and daily life, which helps you gently challenge old patterns to create lasting, meaningful change. Alongside CBT, I draw from Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, and trauma-informed care to ensure our work translates into tangible goals that support your resilience. I bring warmth and humor to keep therapy grounded, offering a relaxed, non-judgmental space. For teens specifically, I ensure they feel genuinely heard and respected, rather than managed or lectured. I offer a warm, client-centered space where you are welcome to bring a snack, coffee, or even ask this British therapist how to make a proper cup of tea. I will hold a steady, safe space for you until you feel strong enough to stand alone.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for help when you are depleted takes immense courage, and my hope is that your sessions act as a quiet refuge where you can safely step away from the heavy demands of daily stress. In our first session, I strive to cultivate a calm, welcoming environment right from the start. We will explore what brings you to therapy and gently unpack your history and symptoms at a natural, comfortable pace. If you worry about what to say or fear awkward silences, breathe easy—I can talk or just listen. There is no pressure to have everything figured out at once. We will collaborate on the best path forward, define your goals and ensure you feel completely supported as we navigate your healing together.
