Great to meet you!

I work with youth through young adulthood, helping them navigate emotions, behaviors, and real-life challenges at home, school, and in their communities. I use simple, practical approaches like CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, solution-focused strategies, and motivational interviewing to support growth and positive change. My style is welcoming, real, and easy to connect with—I focus on building trust while helping clients feel heard and understood. I aim to highlight strengths, improve decision-making, and support each person in building confidence and lasting skills.

My approach to therapy

My therapy approach is flexible and centered around each individual or family I work with. I take time to understand the presenting concerns while also getting to know the person—their strengths, experiences, and what matters to them. I often use a collaborative, problem-solving style where we work together to find solutions, while also creating space to process emotions and explore deeper issues when needed. Depending on the situation, I incorporate skill-building strategies to help with things like coping, communication, and decision-making. Overall, my goal is to meet clients where they are, keep the process supportive and practical, and help them build tools they can use in their everyday lives.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and relaxed space focused on getting to know them and understanding what they’d like to work on in therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, what’s been going on in your life, and any areas where you’d like to see growth, healing, or improvement.

I’ll also review the services I provide, explain how sessions typically work, and discuss the kind of supportive and collaborative environment we’ll be building together. From there, we’ll begin creating a strong foundation through open communication, clear goals, and a personalized plan to help guide our work moving forward.
