Janaea Carr, LCSW-BACS is a licensed therapist with a focus on perinatal and postpartum women as well as on adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship distress/dysfunction and life transitions. Janaea uses an eclectic mix of evidenced-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, Story Informed therapy and mindfulness to assist clients in reaching their personal goals and improving their quality of life. Janaea holds a master's degree in social work from Tulane University School of Social Work in New Orleans, Louisiana as well as an advanced certificate in Christian counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She has 6 years' experience in private practice settings as well as a combined 5 years' experience providing assessment, diagnosis and therapy in inpatient and outpatient medical centers. In her spare time, Janaea enjoys music and spending time with her husband and children. She is currently accepting new clients and looks forward to working with you.
