Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! As a board certified psychotherapist with over 39 years of experience, I have likely sat with many kinds of pain and many kinds of stories. I specialize in helping clients work through trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and the emotional impact of painful past experiences that still shape the present. I offer EMDR and trauma-informed treatment using an Internal Family Systems approach to help clients better understand themselves, heal old wounds, and build greater self-compassion. If your history feels heavy, confusing, or hard to move beyond, you do not have to face it alone. My goal is to help you move toward healing, peace, and a stronger sense of self.

My approach to therapy

I have significant training and experience in trauma-informed care, including EMDR and Internal Family Systems. My approach is warm, practical, and deeply respectful of your story. Together, we look at how past experiences may still be affecting your anxiety, depression, stress, trauma responses, self-worth, relationships, and ability to move forward. I may also use a Life Review process to help connect past experiences with present patterns, offering insight into both the obstacles you face and the strengths you carry. A Christian perspective is available upon request, but never forced. I also understand that many people carry pain related to church hurt or spiritual wounds, and I offer space for that with compassion and no judgment.

What you can expect from me

We start with the here and now. We will talk about what is bothering you, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different in your life. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship issues, or a difficult life transition, we will begin identifying the patterns, pain points, and goals that matter most. Together, we will create an individualized plan to help you move toward healing and meaningful change. Often, unresolved pain from the past can quietly interfere with the present. My goal is to help you face that pain gently, build on your resilience, and leave with a clearer sense of hope and direction.
