Janice McCurdy

I am an experienced practitioner who loves working with couples and individuals. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Gerontology, and I have worked extensively with caregivers and older adults. I have also worked in a psychiatric setting and have been both a business owner and practitioner. I am an artist and enjoy the world of creating art. I have experience in working with grieving clients, with end of life issues and those experiencing or caring for others with physical mental health needs.

I want to set goals with clients early in our therapeutic relationship. I also believe that the establishment of a trusting relationship is a key to successful therapy. Feedback from clients needs to happen often in our therapeutic relationship, so that both I and my client(s) share the same expectations going forward.

An opportunity to be heard in their own style while receiving feedback from me so that I am sure we are both understanding what their issues are and what the client wants to achieve in therapy.
