Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I've been in various consulting and counseling roles since 2005. I specialize in Empowering Women Through Life and Relationship Transitions by providing Telehealth Therapy via J. Nichol Counseling, LLC.

Having been a therapist who has assisted individual clients with relationship transitions and loss of marriage, it's been a personal mission for me to create a neutral environment as a platform of support. If you see an appointment time on my calendar and it doesn't work for you, don't worry schedule the appointment and I'll find one that works with your schedule.

My approach to therapy

Navigating relationships can be hard, can't it? Making the decision to separate or divorce can be stressful. Trying to figure out if you'd like to be in a relationship or marriage are thoughts that can be pervasive. Feeling satisfied and fulfilled in your season of singleness comes with its multitude of challenges. Life after separation, divorce or any relationship transition can initially appear to be overwhelming: family & friend transitions, co-parenting, career moves, and demographic changes just to name a few. You don't have to do it alone. You deserve therapeutic partnership to assist in making your best informed decisions in your life.

Outside of counseling regarding relationships, I also assist with treating symptoms of depression, anxiety and balancing work with everyday life.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we'll review ground rules for confidentiality and clients will have the opportunity to create a goal or goals they'd like to meet in therapy. The first session for general outpatient therapy is typically 45-50 minutes and subsequent sessions are typically 50 minutes. I'm open to answering questions in order to assist client's in making their best-informed decision about selecting a therapist.

My ideal clients are women who have decided to end their relationship or marriage after having completed couples or marriage counseling.

Please know I only provide individual therapy not couples and/or family therapy. Please also know I do not provide psychological evaluations or treatment in which documentation (court-ordered or otherwise) would be required.
