I am a practicing Psychiatrist with background training in Neuroscience and Internal Medicine. Having worked in as array of medical and psychiatric contexts I am experienced in treating a full range of conditions ranging from anxiety, depression and ADHD to more challenging conditions like psychosis, bipolar disorder, trauma and dissociation.
My approach to working with patients is rooted in recognizing and utilizing the importance of the patient-provider relationship. I have an engaging, safe, honest and playful style. I consider the full spectrum of a patients present life and their history, not just their symptoms, to make informed recommendations on treatment.
The first session is usually spent getting to know who the patient is as a whole person in addition to reviewing a detailed list of psychiatric and other symptoms as is relevant. I leave space for the patient to get to know me as well and at the end we review initial impressions and start to develop a treatment plan together.
