Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jaz. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia, and I work with teens (10+) and adults who are navigating things like depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, or just feeling stuck in patterns they can’t seem to get out of.

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out, or even know how to put it into words yet. I often hear that people feel relieved because they can finally show up without explaining or defending what they’re going through. I use evidence-based approaches like DBT, EMDR, and CBT, always blending insight with real, usable skills. At the core, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can breathe a little easier and start finding more steadiness in the middle of life’s chaos.

I got my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and I’ve worked in a range of settings—including intensive in-home, partial hospitalization, and outpatient therapy where I supported individuals, families, and parents.

My approach to therapy

I tend to think about life in terms of patterns and cycles. The way we think, feel, and respond to things is all connected, and over time those patterns can either support us or keep us feeling stuck. Often, those patterns were useful at one time. They helped you cope or get through something, but they might not fit your life now.

Therapy with me is about slowing things down, making sense of those patterns, and figuring out how to respond differently in a way that actually works for your life.

I’m pretty direct, but in a way that’s supportive and respectful. I’m not here to judge you or “fix” you. You can show up as you are: messy, unsure, overwhelmed, all of it. I don’t see people as broken or “too much.” I see people who have learned ways to cope, and now might be ready for something different.

My goal is to help you understand yourself better, feel more grounded, and build a life that feels more manageable and aligned with who you are.

What you can expect from me

The goal of our first session is just to start getting to know you and what’s been going on in your life. We’ll talk about what’s feeling heavy right now, what’s bringing you in, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy.

There’s no pressure to have the right words or a clear plan. We’ll take it at your pace and start making sense of things together so you can leave feeling a little more understood and a little less alone in it.
