Great to meet you!

There is a kind of strength that looks like having it together from the outside, while something much heavier is going on underneath. I work with adults navigating the long aftermath of trauma, including combat veterans, survivors of sexual assault, and people carrying grief, relationship strain, or the weight of experiences that have never fully been processed. Before becoming a therapist, I served as a Navy helicopter pilot. That background shapes how I understand resilience, and what it actually costs to ask for help when you have spent years being trained to push through.

My approach to therapy

I believe you already have what it takes to heal. My job is not to fix you but to help you find the path that makes sense for you and find the courage to walk it. Our work together is about figuring out what you want to be different and moving toward that at a pace that fits you. I am especially drawn to working with people whose experiences have been minimized or brushed aside, and who need a space where the full weight of what happened can finally be acknowledged without someone rushing past it.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly a conversation. We will cover a few basics, but more than anything I want to start building trust and learn what you are hoping to change or experience differently in your life. There is no pressure to have all the answers before we begin. If you are ready to take that first step, I would be glad to hear from you.
