Great to meet you!

I am a life-long psychologist & educator who has been helping people learn, grow and find their way in the world for more than 30 years. I've worked in college counseling centers, hospitals, K-12 schools, and private practice. The challenges you face may be short-term or ongoing. I will help clarify why you're struggling and together we can make a plan for moving forward.

My approach to therapy

People often seek therapy when they are in pain and feeling stuck. Pain can take many forms: anxiety, depression, fear, anger, shame or confusion. By leading with empathic curiosity, I help you understand your troubles with greater depth and complexity. If you are struggling with finding meaning and purpose in your life, losing a loved one, stressors at work, navigating a divorce, caring for an elder, parenting a teen, coping with illness or injury, and you want to feel better, therapy can help. As a seasoned, skilled therapist, I can help you get unstuck in this complicated world we live in.

What you can expect from me

Greater clarity about what you are feeling and why you are feeling that way can be a powerful step towards changing your experience. Depending on the goals of your therapy, we can explore the way past experiences are influencing the present, or we might adopt a practical, problem-solving focus to address a specific issue that is impacting your life. I offer a steady, predictable environment and meet you wherever you are.
