Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My background includes work in residential treatment, community mental health, and private practice, providing care to adults, adolescents, and families with diverse emotional and behavioral needs. I have advanced training in trauma-focused modalities, including EMDR, and specialize in helping clients understand how past experiences shape current patterns and relationships. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative, creating a space where clients feel understood while building practical coping skills. I am passionate about helping people gain insight, strengthen emotional resilience, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that deserve healing and compassion.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I integrate EMDR, grounding skills, and evidence-based strategies at a pace that feels safe and supportive. I bring a culturally competent lens to the work, honoring the backgrounds, identities, and experiences that shape who you are. I also believe you already carry strengths within you, and together we build on those to help you understand your patterns, process difficult experiences, and move toward meaningful, lasting change

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, grounded space where the focus is on getting to know you, your story, your goals, and what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask gentle, open-ended questions to understand what you’ve been navigating, what support looks like for you, and what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll explore your history at a pace that feels safe, discuss any immediate concerns, and identify the strengths you’re already bringing into the room.

I also explain my therapeutic approach, answer any questions you may have, and work with you to create a plan that feels collaborative and culturally sensitive. My goal for the first session is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and reassured that you’re in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where healing can begin.
