My name is Jen and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I have experience working in community mental health and outpatient settings providing psychotherapy. I received my Bachelor of Science (BS) from Tulane University where I studied Psychology and Sociology. I received my Master of Arts (AM) from the University of Chicago where I studied clinical social work.
I work with adults, adolescents, and children seeking help for anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family issues, life transitions, trauma, and grief/loss. My approach to therapy is tailored to each individual based on their specific needs. I draw from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship; you can expect my style to be warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental.
I believe that in a trusting and caring therapeutic relationship, people have the ability to explore the depths of their minds and discover the sources of their pain. In therapy, you will develop a greater understanding of yourself and ways to manage and cope with the ups and downs of life. You can experience tremendous growth and transformation in therapy, and you won't have to do it alone.
