Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

I'm Jennifer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health. My career has included outpatient therapy, crisis counseling, healthcare leadership, and designing behavioral health programs that support children, families, and communities. Throughout my work, I've had the privilege of helping people navigate life's most difficult moments with compassion, curiosity, and hope.

This breadth of experience has given me a deep understanding of the barriers people often face when seeking support, along with a genuine commitment to making therapy feel accessible, collaborative, and holistic.

Today, I primarily work with young adults and adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I also support people who have a sense that something in life needs to change, even if they cannot quite put it into words. Whether you're starting your career, figuring out who you are, healing from painful experiences, or feeling overwhelmed by the expectations of adulthood, therapy can provide a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with greater clarity.

Although my focus is adults, I also have extensive training and experience working with children and families. That background gives me a deep understanding of how early life experiences, family relationships, and attachment patterns continue to shape us as adults. Together, we can explore those experiences while building healthier ways of coping, connecting with others, and caring for yourself in the present.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a space that feels honest, collaborative, and grounded in who you are, where you can show up without feeling judged or needing to have everything figured out.

I draw on evidence-based approaches alongside somatic awareness and the mind-body connection. Together, we'll pay attention not only to your thoughts and emotions, but also to how stress, trauma, and life experiences may be showing up in your nervous system and body.

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Some people benefit from structure, practical tools, and clear strategies. Others need space to reflect, process, and better understand themselves. I'll meet you where you are, tailoring our work to your goals while bringing my clinical experience to help you move toward meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a relationship based on trust, openness, and mutual respect. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. There is no pressure to have everything figured out. Many people come to therapy simply knowing that something in their life doesn't feel quite right or that they're ready for a change.

We'll talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and any questions or concerns you may have about the process. Just as importantly, the first session is a chance for you to get a feel for me and decide whether our work together feels like a good fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of meaningful change, and I want you to feel confident that you're in a space where you can be yourself.

My hope is that you leave our first session feeling supported, heard, and a little more hopeful than when you arrived. Even if we don't have all the answers yet, my goal is for you to leave feeling more grounded, more connected to your own voice, and with the reassurance that you don't have to navigate things alone.
