Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My expertise is helping people "get unstuck" from depression, anxiety, and often co-occurring, related life changes (for example, relationships, work, and loss). I'm also a mental health researcher focused on making mental health services more accessible to people around the world.

My approach to therapy

I always begin by fully understanding my clients' problems—what brought them to therapy—in great detail, working to prioritize the issues to be addressed. Depending on the issue, I will present treatment options tailored to my client's preferences (for example, cognitive therapy, narrative therapy, and or behavioral interventions). Together we'll create a plan with desired outcomes that we'll measure over time to ensure progress (or make changes when necessary).

What you can expect from me

In the first session, expect to do most of the talking: I want to get to know you and learn what led to help-seeking. I will ask a lot of questions to help me get as clear a picture as possible about "what's going on."
