Great to meet you!

I graduated with my MA in Counseling from John Jay college. I was born and raised in the city and know all about the struggles of city life. I have worked with children struggling to find their own (mostly middle school and high school) and individuals suffering from serious mental illnesses.

There is very little you can say that would shock me. You don't have to worry about any judgement during our sessions.

My approach to therapy

I can sit here and list a bunch of abbreviations and buzzwords for therapy, but that is just overwhelming and probably what every other profile has. My approach to therapy will be guided by your needs. If you are struggling on the day-to-day grind, we will go over coping skills and process how to manage stressors. If you struggle with your image, we will tackle that negative sense of self and learn to appreciate what you are and all that you can do.

Mental health is not a one-size-fits-all hat.

What you can expect from me

From the first session, I hope you walk away with a sense of hope. Even if it is a small glimmer, hope can be a powerful motivator. Nothing magical will happen overnight, but seeing that there is hope, and that things can get better is what therapy can give you.
