Great to meet you!

I received my Master of Social Work from Boston University, where I received specialized training and certifications in working with older adults through the aging process. I previously worked at a hospice and palliative care agency in Rhode Island, specializing in support for older adults in long-term care settings with various types of dementia (Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body, and Vascular) and other terminal diagnoses, as well as caregiver support for their families.

I most recently worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where I provided counseling and support for patients and their caregivers living with blood cancers, chronic illness, and adjusting to survivorship post-treatment. I facilitated a monthly support group for our nursing staff and assisted with running our Bereavement program and loss-specific groups. I specialize in maintaining personhood and quality of life through these significant life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as an intentional and protected space to reengage with oneself, cultivate understanding, and move toward growth. I value work that allows for reflection, curiosity, and learning how to tolerate the ambiguity around the challenges and joys we face during our lifetimes. My goal is to provide structure in moments that feel more chaotic, uncertain, or disconnected, as well as how to lean into moments of peace and joy.

What you can expect from me

I recognize finding a therapist who feels like a good fit can feel a lot like finding a life partner. I want us both to feel like we're a good fit for each other! In our first session we will explore what brings you to therapy, your current or formulating goals, and begin getting to know one another. My approach is often exploratory and relational that will naturally build in a more tailored and structured plan as we get to know what works for you.
