Great to meet you!

I am an LCSW located in South Florida and have been working with adults living with chronic kidney disease and dialysis-related challenges for the past 3 years. I understand the important role psychotherapy can play in helping patients cope with the physical, psychological, and lifestyle burdens of end stage renal disease and other chronic illnesses. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, adjustment difficulties, health-related fears, and emotional exhaustion connected to dialysis treatment. My goal is to provide a supportive, client-centered space where you feel heard, understood, and better equipped to manage the emotional side of living with a serious medical condition.

My approach to therapy

I take a client-centered approach and use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help patients reduce depression, anxiety, and health-related stress by identifying and reframing negative thought patterns. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients respond to difficult emotions with greater flexibility, mindfulness, and self-compassion rather than feeling controlled by them. My work is focused on supporting adults on dialysis as they cope with chronic illness, treatment fatigue, lifestyle changes, uncertainty about the future, and the day-to-day emotional impact of kidney disease. My goal is to help clients build resilience, improve quality of life, and feel more grounded while navigating the demands of treatment.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will discuss the specific outcomes or changes you want to achieve during therapy, whether that includes managing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, treatment burden, or adjustment to dialysis and chronic kidney disease. You decide how much or how little you want to share, and there is no pressure to reveal everything in the first hour. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where you can begin talking openly about the emotional impact of dialysis and identify tools that can help you cope more effectively moving forward.
