Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and comfortable being themselves. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a space where clients can talk openly without fear of judgment, whether they are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship stress, life transitions, burnout, trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day life.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults across a variety of mental health settings, including outpatient care, crisis intervention, and medication management. In addition to my psychiatric background, I also have experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), which gives me a broader understanding of the connection between physical and mental health. I am also certified in Nutritional Psychiatry and value a holistic approach to wellness, including the role that sleep, nutrition, movement, and lifestyle habits can play in emotional well-being.

I integrate supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals. Many of my clients appreciate that I balance emotional support with honesty, humor, and real-life problem solving.

I understand that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them better understand themselves, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create realistic, sustainable changes that improve overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe that every person’s experiences, challenges, and goals are unique, so treatment should never feel “one-size-fits-all.” I work closely with clients to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where they feel comfortable being honest, vulnerable, and fully themselves.

I take an integrative approach that combines therapy, medication management when appropriate, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies. My style is warm and approachable while also being direct and goal-oriented. I want clients to leave sessions not only feeling supported, but also with tools, insight, and a clearer understanding of themselves.

My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress and burnout, relationship challenges, trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions. With my background as both a psychiatric provider and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), I also value the strong connection between physical and mental health. As someone certified in Nutritional Psychiatry, I incorporate a holistic perspective that considers the impact of sleep, nutrition, movement, hormones, and lifestyle habits on emotional wellness.

I believe meaningful progress comes from combining evidence-based care with genuine human connection. My goal is to help clients build resilience, improve daily functioning, strengthen relationships, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment during their first session. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood from the very beginning. I know starting therapy or psychiatric care can feel intimidating, so I approach each session with compassion, curiosity, and openness.

During the first appointment, we will spend time discussing what brings you in, your current concerns and symptoms, relevant medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, and any goals you may have for treatment. I also want to understand you as a whole person — not just your diagnosis or symptoms. Together, we will explore patterns, stressors, strengths, and areas where you feel stuck or overwhelmed.

If medication management is appropriate, we will discuss options thoughtfully, including benefits, risks, and your comfort level with treatment. I believe clients should feel informed and actively involved in decisions about their care.

By the end of the session, clients can typically expect to leave with a clearer understanding of possible next steps, initial treatment goals, and practical strategies or recommendations to begin working toward feeling better. Most importantly, I want clients to feel supported, respected, and hopeful about the process moving forward.
