Great to meet you!

I am clinical psychologist with expertise in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, and eating and weight related disorders. I obtained my PhD from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey with an emphasis in health psychology. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in the Behavioral Medicine Program at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. For the past decade, I have provided individual therapy to adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, eating concerns, and more. I have worked in a number of setting, including academic medical centers, specialty clinics, and private practice.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in cognitive behavioral principles, dialectical behavior therapy skills, and supportive psychotherapy. In my work, I hope to offer empathy and support to clients while empowering them with the knowledge, skills, and tools to manage their personal stressors.

What you can expect from me

I believe in the importance of a strong client-therapist relationship. In my first session, I aim to understand my client's presenting concerns and gather insight into their upbringing, family and social history, and previous treatments -- all in an effort to understand how things came to be. I always ask what clients want from therapy and what kind of therapist they think will be the best fit. I encourage them to provide feedback so that I can ensure that I am serving them well.
