Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia with a background in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and advanced doctoral training in psychology. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix and currently attend Walden University, where I am pursuing a PhD in Psychology. I also hold a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Psychology from Walden University.

My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation, trauma, adjustment difficulties, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting adolescents struggling with academic pressure, identity development, family conflict, and performance-related stressors.

I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based interventions. My goal is to help clients develop practical coping skills, improve emotional wellness, strengthen self-confidence, and create healthier patterns in their lives and relationships.

I believe therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and individualized to each client’s unique needs and goals. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.

I primarily utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based interventions. Through these approaches, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, develop healthier coping strategies, and build greater self-awareness and confidence.

I work with clients to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, stress, self-esteem difficulties, emotional dysregulation, family conflict, and life transitions. I also recognize the importance of cultural experiences, environmental stressors, and family dynamics in the therapeutic process and strive to create a space where clients feel understood and supported.

My goal is not only to help clients manage current challenges, but also to equip them with practical tools and long-term strategies that promote emotional wellness, resilience, and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a supportive and welcoming space focused on understanding their concerns, goals, and overall needs. During the initial session, I take time to learn about the client’s background, current challenges, emotional experiences, and any factors contributing to stress or difficulty in daily life.

We will discuss what brought the client to therapy, explore important personal, family, school, work, or relationship dynamics, and identify goals the client would like to work toward in treatment. I also gather information related to emotional functioning, coping patterns, mental health history, and strengths that can support progress throughout therapy.

My approach during the first session is collaborative and nonjudgmental. Clients are encouraged to share at their own pace, ask questions, and participate actively in developing a treatment plan that feels meaningful and realistic for them. The goal of the first session is to begin building trust, establish a clear understanding of the client’s needs, and create a foundation for future growth and healing.
