Great to meet you!

“ When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary...”~Fred Rogers

We all have periods in our lives when we feel down, stuck, unseen and/or unheard. Where facing life’s challenges is too overwhelming and scary. Leading us to having a difficult time choosing the right path to go on to find the answers we are looking for. Sometimes, these challenges are too great to face alone. That is where I can be of help.

My approach to therapy

I have a diverse approach to counseling and draw from many different forms of therapies. A lot of my focus comes from a base of psychodynamic therapy while using skills from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) and motivational interviewing. I look at each individual from a person centered, solution focused, strengths-based perspective. I tailor my approach to address each person’s specific and individual needs.

What you can expect from me

As a therapist, I provide a safe, warm, non-judgmental and supportive environment in which you can come and work on any life’s challenges. I can lend an open ear when you need a person to talk to and help you find your own path to the answers you seek. I will give guidance and support to empower you to overcome the challenges you are facing. Asking for help and working on oneself can be hard. That is why I try to make the healing process as comfortable as possible for those I’m working with.
