Great to meet you!

I have been in practice over forty years facilitating realistic and lasting change. I work in a manner that is direct and offers both concrete and feasible approaches to change. I currently work with teens and adults; individuals, and couples. Areas of concentration include anxiety, anger, stress, parenting, teens, sexuality, marriage, trauma and major mental illnesses. I have worked in forensic psychology related to parenting, child maltreatment, competency, state-of-mind and other issues.

My approach to therapy

Throughout our lives we can find ourselves in times of uncertainty when much is asked of us. How we respond to such moments will define how we think of ourselves. While there may be an inclination to turn away from such moment and think, this too shall pass, just how it will pass has to do with the thinking one does, the actions one takes. Therapy should provide a better understanding of our choices, who we are, and why we act as we do. Therapy should be to the point, clear, and practical.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to take away from sessions that they have been understood, their concerns are reasonable, and that solutions are within their grasp. Therapy should, in general, provide direction and therefore, relief. This provider will acknowledge, understand, respect and respond to a diversity of experiences. Clients can also expect that relevant questions will always be answered from the perspective of the provider's education, training, experience and the research.
