Great to meet you!

Healing rarely starts in a straight line—it usually begins in the middle of things feeling overwhelming, unstable, or hard to carry alone.

I’m Jordan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with both professional training and lived experience navigating substance use recovery, trauma, anxiety, depression, and crisis points in life. I work with individuals and families facing challenges related to addiction, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, anger, trauma, and complex life stressors. My approach is grounded in meeting people exactly where they are, without judgment, while helping them move toward stability and change at a pace that feels realistic.

A core part of my work is helping clients feel seen and understood in experiences that are often isolating, while also supporting them in building practical steps toward recovery, regulation, and long-term resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and deeply informed by both clinical training and real-world experience. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Behavior Modification, and solution-oriented strategies to help clients understand patterns that may be contributing to distress and difficulty in daily life.

Much of my work focuses on helping clients make sense of how past experiences, current stressors, and coping strategies interact, especially in the context of addiction, trauma, and emotional overwhelm. Rather than focusing only on what feels wrong, we also work on identifying what has helped you survive up to this point and how to build on those strengths in a more sustainable way.

Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in respect for your lived experience. We focus on both understanding and action, so that insight is always connected to real-life tools for change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on your story, what has been feeling most difficult recently, and what you hope might begin to change. You do not need to have everything organized or explained in advance. We’ll take time to understand things together at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Many clients come in feeling stuck in cycles related to substance use, emotional reactivity, trauma responses, or overwhelming life stress. Over time, clients often notice increased emotional stability, clearer decision-making, stronger coping strategies, and a greater sense of control over their responses and choices.

For many, therapy also becomes a space to process experiences that have felt too heavy to carry alone, while slowly building confidence in their ability to navigate life in a different way.

If you’re looking for a therapist who understands both the clinical and lived sides of recovery, and who can help you build practical tools for stability, healing, and long-term change, I would be glad to work with you.
