Great to meet you!

Choosing a therapist is an important and personal decision. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and respected, while also helping you make meaningful and lasting changes.

I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience, and I specialize in trauma-informed, evidence-based care. As a prior military service member, I have a deep understanding of military culture and the unique stressors faced by service members, veterans, and their families. I work with both military and civilian clients who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, sleep and pain challenges, substance use concerns, relationship stress, and major life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, structured, and compassionate. I believe therapy works best when it is tailored to you—your history, your strengths, and your goals. I draw from several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, DBT-informed skills, and trauma-focused interventions. Together, we work to understand how past experiences may be influencing your present, while also building practical tools to help you move forward.

I also pay close attention to sleep, pain, stress, and substance use patterns, especially when these issues are connected to trauma or ongoing life stressors. Treatment is person-centered and strengths-based, meaning we focus not only on reducing symptoms but also on restoring a sense of control, meaning, and balance in your life.

Clients often describe my style as grounded, supportive, and direct when needed. I aim to balance empathy with practical guidance, helping you feel heard while also offering clear strategies and direction. I take time to build a strong therapeutic relationship and, when appropriate, may include family members or significant others to support your goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and to begin building a safe, respectful, and supportive therapeutic relationship. Many clients feel a mix of curiosity and nervousness—that’s completely normal. My role is to help you feel comfortable and supported from the start.

In our work together, you can expect a therapist who is engaged, respectful, and invested in your growth. We will move at a pace that feels manageable while still working toward meaningful progress. Whether you’re seeking relief from distress, clarity around your experiences, or tools to move forward with confidence, therapy is a place where you don’t have to carry things alone.

If you’re looking for a therapist who combines clinical expertise with real-world understanding, I may be a good fit for you.
