Great to meet you!

My name is Judy Jordan and I took an evening course in Psychology 5 after work and by the end of it, I knew I wanted to be a therapist. I was drawn to understanding people on a deeper level and helping them through their struggles. With support from my dad, I left my job and went back to school and I loved every minute of learning and felt more certain with each class that I was on the right track. My dedication paid off as I made straight A's and the Academic Achievement Award in Psychology. More importantly I found a sense of purpose in supporting others in their mental health journeys.

My approach to therapy

I use the Gottman Principles when seeing couples and find it most helpful and most rewarding. I use Mindfulness Based Therapy to help clients to live in the here and now and stay in the present and experience one day at a time. I teach Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to show clients that thoughts affect their thoughts and their feelings. I am very familiar with addictions as I myself am a recovering alcoholic addict. I would love to see you clean and sober.

What you can expect from me

I like to create a safe environment for my clients. I want them to know that everything is confidential. Together we can figure things out and they can trust me. Things can get better.
