Great to meet you!

I am Dr. Kandice Timmons, I graduated from Antioch University Santa Barbara Clinical Psychology Program. I have experience working within many multicultural contexts and my clinical background has focused on working within the LGBTQIA community, transitioned aged youth (16-24) and trauma focused work.

My approach to therapy

I recognize the needs of the client and incorporate other beneficial interventions as needed. My training allows me to compassionately help other’s utilize their strengths and discover resources to address these obstacles. Using a non-judgmental and supportive approach to therapy and coaching, I draw upon my education and experience, as well as humor, to create a positive therapeutic relationship to facilitate your movement along your journey.

What you can expect from me

The process of therapy is not to fix, but support your process of change, through empowerment and identification to build skills and highlight your resiliency. It takes time to address the challenges and time to build a relationship with your therapist. Finding the right fit is important to the therapeutic relationship and to feeling understood and supported through your process.
