Great to meet you!

I got my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kansas State University. It is there that I found my passion for working with those who had been abused or traumatized. I continued my education by pursuing and completing my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Tech University. It was there I added addiction and recovery to my specialties. In my private practice there I also worked with military, both active duty and veterans, and first responders.

My approach to therapy

Collaboration! I work with clients to find solutions to their situations. I never forget the value of a listening ear and the telling of one's experience is therapeutic in and of itself. I use CBT, DBT Techniques, Solution focused techniques, Emotionally Focused therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method for couples. I work with Anxiety, Grief, Depression, individuals, couples and families.

What you can expect from me

The ultimate goal is to put myself out of work. Clients can expect homework assignments, feeling heard and understood, and have some more ideas for approaching their situation. The biggest takeaway I want for my clients to feel is hope! When you reach out for help that means you are wanting change and change is possible.
