Karen Lehmann

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor desiring to help individuals thrive in their life. I am dedicated to serving children, adults, and families alike with compassion and encouragement. I work with each patient to create a meaningful plan for their time in therapy. My style is a client centered, client first approach. I maintain a trauma-informed environment while utilizing evidenced based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing and CBT. I work with individuals who are feeling stuck, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected-from themselves or others. I am prepared to assist with multiple Mental Health struggles, including anxiety, depression, and the effects of experiencing trauma. For 15 years, I assisted Family Court litigants and children of litigants navigate the Family Court process. I have a total of 20 years of experience working in the field in a variety of settings and positions.

My style and approach to offering therapy is client led and strengths based. I most often utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Motivational Interviewing approaches.

In the first session, I prioritize beginning to build a trusted and professional relationship with my client. I will immediately begin to explore with the client what goals they have for therapy.
