Great to meet you!

I understand the struggle of managing painful emotions and runaway thoughts in the face of life’s challenges. I specialize in working with adults who are faced with grief, loss, change or a difficult life chapter. This may be a death or loss, parenting and motherhood, a medical diagnosis, divorce, family issue, or relationship crisis. I am a Certified Grief Educator and have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness

My approach to therapy

My therapy room is a safe and supportive space to be seen and heard, to find insight and understanding, and the skills to improve your life. My approach is eclectic and uses evidence based practices, focusing on your needs, goals and unique strengths. My style is warm, positive, interactive and empowering. We are partners in change. Be warned that I love to encourage my clients with “homework” to use in their daily lives, as this is where amazing growth can happen.

What you can expect from me

First and foremost, you will take away hope, that life can and will get better. You can expect a judgement free space where you are comfortable to be yourself and to share and to explore. Did you know that everybody experiences a whole spectrum of emotions, even the hard and painful ones? Paying attention to them with acceptance, curiosity and self compassion is a great place to start your journey.
