Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than five years of social work experience, including three years in community mental health, and I earned my Master of Social Work from Samford University. My work in community mental health and at a local shelter has given me the privilege of supporting people through trauma, addiction, severe mental illness, housing insecurity, and life's many transitions.

I believe every person has inherent worth and the capacity for growth. I am passionate about helping people discover greater wholeness, healing, and hope. Therapy is not about fixing you—it is about creating a safe, supportive relationship where we work together to understand your story, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools for lasting change.

I work with teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, substance use, stress, relationship challenges, bipolar disorder, psychosis, codependency, and life transitions. Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, engaging, collaborative, and encouraging. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized because no two people have the same story. I believe healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. Rather than trying to "fix" people, I work alongside my clients as we identify patterns, build on strengths, and move toward meaningful change.

As a clinical social worker, I use a biopsychosocial approach, recognizing that our mental health is shaped by our thoughts, emotions, physical health, relationships, spirituality, and environment. I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs by integrating evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling that thoughtfully integrates faith into the therapeutic process.

My goal is to provide practical tools, encouragement, and a supportive space where you can grow in self-awareness, resilience, and confidence while working toward the life you want to build.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. We'll review the basics of therapy, discuss what brings you in, explore your current concerns, and talk about what you hope to accomplish through counseling. I'll also answer any questions you have about my background, therapeutic approach, or what the counseling process looks like.

If time allows, we'll begin exploring your personal history and identifying patterns that may be contributing to your current challenges. If not, we'll continue that conversation in future sessions. My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer understanding of how we'll work together to support your goals. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful for you.
