Great to meet you!

I am a therapist focused on helping a client make changes to feel better. People seek out therapy for all sorts of reasons but everyone wants something in their life to be different. I like to help people understand why they are stuck and help them get unstuck. It's my goal to help people by being a witness to their pain and shining a light to help them move forward.

I enjoy allowing people to speak. Often when we sign up for therapy (myself included), it is because we have a pressing issue that is causing enormous pain. I like giving space for the client to help me understand what brought them to therapy.

I enjoy working with people. Everyone has a story to tell and I enjoy helping people understand their story and write the next chapters in the way that best suits them.

My approach to therapy

I typically approach therapy through a trauma informed lens. I think that getting to the root of the current issue, figuring out how everything got tangled in those roots and then assessing how those roots are making it hard to grow. I like to help clients piece together the parts of themselves that have survived, perhaps in ways that are no longer serving them.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I like to get to the reason why they scheduled an appointment. Most people come to therapy with a pressing issue. I like to figure that out and then we can work backwards.
