Great to meet you!

During my career as a licensed mental health counselor, I've had the honor to bear witness to people's life stories of trauma, grief and hardship, and the privilege to assist them in developing new perspectives which increases their sense of inner-strength and resiliency. Throughout my years as a counselor, I've worked collaboratively with both teenagers and adults to manage challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, navigating relationships, and substance use disorders.

My approach to therapy

People overcome difficulties when they feel supported and understood by an empathic listener. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship whereby clients feel unconditionally accepted and comfortable to share on a deep level. I use a strength-based approach, and utilize an eclectic mix of evidence based approaches: CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.

What you can expect from me

Counseling goals are identified by the client, with help to recognize their strengths and assets. The ideal outcome of counseling is to increase self-awareness, introduce new narratives and perspectives that strengthen confidence and enhance well being.
