Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a passion for working with eating disorders, trauma, and their co-occurring disorders. I graduated with my Masters from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2018 and have been counseling since then. I have experience working at the residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient level of care with the eating disorder population. I've also worked in community mental health and private practice setting.

My approach to therapy

I'm a clinician that likes to get to know my clients as people first. I want to be personable, know their likes, dislikes, interests, and hobbies while also wanting to know what they want to work on in therapy. I use an eclectic approach with my clients with mixing skills based therapies like ACT, DBT, and CBT as well as using other approaches such as EMDR, polyvagal theory, and other somatic approaches. I use the Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating philosophy with my approach.

What you can expect from me

I want my clients to increase their sense of safety within themselves and the world. I want them to leave sessions with tools the manage the world around them as well as learn more about themselves and who they are. I want my clients to leave the office with self-compassion, a sense of safety, and motivation for their future.
