Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Keira Martinez, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of clinical training and experience. I believe that you are more than just a list of symptoms. You are a whole person, with a unique story, culture, and context. My approach is always holistic, culturally sensitive, and centered on you as an individual.

I offer comprehensive psychological assessment and short-term, skills-based therapy for adolescents and adults, all securely and conveniently via telehealth.

The goal is to move beyond guesswork and uncover the "why" behind your struggles and the "what" of your unique strengths. An assessment provides a clear, comprehensive roadmap that can identify psychological diagnoses, guide future treatment, educational choices, or personal growth, giving you confidence and direction.

This is for you if:

  • You're seeking a formal diagnosis, want to re-evaluate a past diagnosis, or simply desire insight into your emotional or psychological functioning.

This process provides valuable information and deep insight, helping to identify and diagnose a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Mood Disorders (like Depression and Bipolar Disorder)
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Personality Disorders
  • Psychosis and Schizophrenia
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Substance Use Disorders
  • Eating Disorders

What you'll gain:

  • A definitive answer to your questions, a clear understanding of how your mind works, and a detailed, personalized report with actionable recommendations for your future.

My approach to therapy

Understanding your mental health is a powerful first step. The next is building the skills to manage challenges, improve your daily life, and work towards your goals. In addition to assessment, I offer short-term, skills-based support to help you do just that.

Short-Term Individual Therapy

For adolescents and adults, I provide focused therapy using proven, evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Our work is not about spending years on a couch; it's about learning practical tools to manage psychiatric symptoms and general life stressors that you can use right away.

Together, we can work on:

  • Strengthening your coping skills to better handle distressing situations.
  • Regulating intense emotions to help you find your balance.
  • Identifying and challenging the negative automatic thoughts that can hold you back.

Coaching for ADHD & Executive Functioning

Coaching is a proactive partnership designed to help you manage the daily symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, depression, or other conditions. It's about bridging the gap between your intentions and your actions. This goal-oriented support is focused on improving your day-to-day life and optimizing your executive functioning.

Coaching can help you:

  • Improve your functioning at school or work.
  • Develop strategies for better organization, time management, and focus.
  • Align your daily habits with your personal values and long-term goals.

What you can expect from me

My practice is built on a foundation of warmth, professionalism, and credibility. I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

My goal is to empower you with insights and tools that lead to lasting positive change. Whether you are seeking clarity through diagnostic assessment or support through clinical services, I am here to guide you and your family with expertise and compassion.

When you engage in a psychological assessment with me, you can expect a comprehensive and collaborative process that is contextualized to you and your lived experience. We both bring expertise to the clinical relationship and it’s important to me that clients and families feel empowered throughout the assessment process and in our work together.
