I have been a Social Worker for over 20 years and have worked in a variety of clinical and educational settings. My favorite clients to work with are women in 1:1 therapy, where I have the pleasure of witnessing growth and change.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is empathetic, supportive, and direct. I incorporate humor and laughter whenever possible. I work most often treating symptoms related to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, substance use and life transitions and combine cognitive-behavioral, relational, mindfulness practices, meditation, and psychodynamic approaches.

What you can expect from me

The decision to begin therapy can be challenging, you have just taken a courageous first step. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which clients are encouraged to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a supportive, nonjudgmental, and compassionate setting. Our work together is to help you understand yourself in relation to the world around you and to your life experiences.
