Specializes in

Anxiety, Depression, Family Issues, Substance Use / Addiction, and Trauma

Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults to address trauma/PTSD, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and alcohol/substance use. I work with young people who experience trauma responses and emotion regulation challenges that can be labeled by others as “behavioral issues”. I have 12 years of experience supporting individuals and families with the above stated concerns in various treatment settings. I meet my clients where they are with cultural humility and person-centered, trauma-informed, gender-and neuro-affirming care.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapy approach is empowering and strength-focused, while also being direct and results driven. I bring humor into session when appropriate. I utilize Narrative Therapy to support my clients in taking control of and re-writing their story. I have intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and various Trauma Informed therapy modalities. I utilize creative expression and nature-based mindfulness practices in the therapy space as well.

What you can expect from our first session

I truly believe that everyone has the ability to make changes to improve their life experience. I assist my clients to gain insight into what it is that they want to change, and teach evidence based skills to get there. I guide my clients through self exploration and emotional healing. I truly meet my clients where they are at by utilizing a non-judgmental and person-centered approach. I collaborate with my clients to create a plan that aligns with their specific goals and values. I understand the importance of trust, respect, and open communication in relationships and I therefore prioritize building strong therapeutic alliances with my clients.
