Great to meet you!

“It is only when you take ownership for your life that you discover how powerful you truly are”

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical mental health counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of North Florida.

Additionally, I hold specialty certification in complex trauma as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - Level 2 (CCTP-II). My professional background spans correctional and forensic settings, community mental health, and private practice, giving me a well-rounded perspective on the unique stressors faced by each individual. I have experience working with diverse populations including military veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, court-ordered and forensic clients, trauma survivors, substance abuse, and individuals impacted by mood, anxiety, and personality disorders. I work with couples, families, the elderly, teens, and the everyday person like you and me. My passion for helping others who make the ultimate sacrifice for our communities and country led me to specialize in trauma work including first responders, active-duty military, veterans, and their spouses. Trauma disrupts an individual’s balance, and my mission is to help those affected restore that balance in their lives. I believe that everyone holds the capacity for transformation and acknowledge the importance of creating a place for both joy and suffering. It is important to feel comfortable and confident in a counselor who understands that change takes courage by providing a safe space to explore your inner world, life experiences, and relationships at a pace that feels right for you. I believe that every human being has the potential to thrive.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrated approach to tailor my services to each client’s unique needs. I incorporate a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Somatic Therapy, Polyvagal Theory for nervous system regulation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief-Therapy (SFBT). My theoretical orientation blends CBT, humanistic, and person-centered approaches to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can build resilience, self-awareness, and lasting change. My goal is to provide a safe and judgment-free space to work collaboratively with clients to develop new skills and learn new strategies to approach life’s challenges. By working together, I help clients navigate transitions and find their personal power.

What you can expect from me

When you come in for your first session, think of it as a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what brings you to therapy, identify the strengths you already have — even if they don’t feel obvious yet, and what you’d like to work toward. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once — we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I’ll ask some questions to help me understand your background, strengths, and current challenges, and together we’ll start outlining a plan that fits your goals and needs. You’re also welcome to ask me anything about the counseling process or approaches I use.

My hope is that you’ll leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and a little more grounded — with a clearer sense of what therapy can look like for you going forward and how we can begin working toward balance, regulation, and empowerment.
